Gold Stocks - Exchange Traded GoldGold Bullion Securities (GBS) are fully backed by gold which is both deposited and insured. Gold Bullion Securities were created to give financial institutions and private investors the ability to own gold without the inconvenience of storing physical bars or opening a futures trading account. The idea of a gold ETF was first officially conceptualised by Benchmark Asset Management Company in May 2002 and was regulatory approved and launched later in March 2007. The first gold exchange-traded fund actually launched was in March 2003 on the Australian Stock Exchange under Gold Bullion Securities (ticker symbol "GOLD"). Gold Bullion Securities are watched by a Trustee and held in deposit vaults by a Custodian - often the same person plays both roles. Example, the trustee of the Gold Bullion Securities is the Bank's Vice President and the bank guard is the custodian. Gold Bullion Securities ... List of Stocksrelated ... Digital Gold Currency |
